With 2015 nearing a close, Noosa’s social calendar for 2016 is filling fast! To ensure you are organised we have complied a list of the biggest events happening in the Sunshine Coast next year:

Ginger Flower and Food Festival

When: 22 – 24 January 2016
Where: The Ginger Factory, Sunshine Coast

To celebrate its 20th anniversary The Ginger Factory aren’t holding back for their iconic Ginger Flower & Food Festival. As one of Australia’s premier annual events, the festival will play host to an exciting line-up of local celebrity chefs and gardening experts.

Noosa Festival of Surfing

When: 5-12 March 2016
Where: First Point, Noosa Heads

The 25th annual Noosa Festival of Surfing will include more than 30 divisions including longboard, shortboard, finless, stand-up paddle boards, dog surfing and body surfing for ages from under 15 to over 70. Over eight days, competitors and spectators from around the world will compete in and watch one of the most popular events on the global surfing calendar. In addition to the surfing, the festival offers a unique entertainment village on the beach in front of the break, with licensed bar and food franchises, live music and movies nightly, and a surf expo featuring the latest in surfboards and surf wear.

Ultraman Australia

When: 8-10 May 2016
Where: Noosa

Join the ultimate challenge down under as Ultraman returns to Noosa for 3 days of incredible feats of endurance through the beautiful waters and hinterland of the Noosa region. Competitors complete a 10km swim, 420km bike ride and 84.4km run against a backdrop of Noosa’s Laguna Bay, Noosa National Park and hinterland.

Noosa International Food and Wine Festival

When: 19 – 22 May 2016
Where: Lions Park Noosa

Foodies from all over the world will be flocking to Noosa for next year’s International Food and Wine Festival. Invitations have already been sent out to over 200 chefs, producers, winemakers and media, making next year’s event the biggest and most delicious yet.
