The silly season may be over, but summer is still in full swing. If you’re looking for a way to work off that Christmas pudding and cool down with some sun, salt and surf, the annual Noosa Summer Swim will be held on Saturday 30 January at the beautiful Noosa Heads.

In its third year running, the event offers a range of distances for every ability. For those new to open water swimming, the 1km short course option is the perfect introduction as participants swim through calm, sheltered waters.

For more experienced swimmers, the Noosa 2km long course and Noosa 3km marathon distance swims are a great training goal. All swimmers are able to choose their own wave start group, so for those taking on their first long course event there is an option to start with friends and other weekend warriors!

Junior swimmers won’t miss out, with 300m and 1km events open for registration. Parents are encouraged to swim alongside their youngsters and experience the thrill of the beach sprint finish together.

Olympic legend and official Noosa Summer Swim ambassador Michael Klim will be in attendance to sign autographs and meet aspiring champions.

For those who prefer to keep their feet on land, Noosa will be coming to life during the event with special entertainment and dining options.

Entries for the Noosa Summer Swim are open now.
